Born in Des Moines, Iowa, David Bauman grew up in and has lived in Iowa all his life. He graduated from Council Bluffs, Iowa at Thomas Jefferson High School in 1991. David received salvation when he was eighteen years old, fell back into the world, and then rededicated his life to Christ at age 30. He is currently working on a correspondence Bible school course through Rhema Bible College.

David came to Harlan and began attending Abundant Life Church in 2004. He was asked to begin helping in the youth and became the full-time Youth Minister in the fall of 2005. David and his wife, Brandi, exchanged vows in May 2006. They have four children.

David's passions are igniting the fire of God in young people, worshipping the Lord, living by faith, and preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He and Brandi value each and every teenager, and are commited to helping them fulfill the call of God on their lives.
