Joyce Ulmer has attended Abundant Life Church Since 1986. She has been serving in the children's ministry since 1988 and has been the Children Ministry Director since July 1996.

Joyce and her husband, Stan, have been married since April 1989. Joyce has had three grown children by a previous marriage, and five grandsons. Stan takes his role as stepfather and grandfather very seriously, and is also a very present help with the children's ministry of the church.

Joyce has benefited from many children's ministry workshops, conferences, and kids' camps over the years, which means she is well-qualified to direct the children's ministry at Abundant Life Church.

Regarding the Children's Ministry, Joyce welcomes questions and invites conversation and involvement by anyone who would like to participate in the vision of the ministry to children. In her eyes, children are seen as leaders. She likes to think of them as great assets to the church and readily defends them as important members of the body of Christ.

The goal of the Children's Ministry, in her view, is not only to minister to the children of Abundant Life Church, but also to give aid and meet the needs of children in the surrounding communities.
