VCS Mission
Victory Christian School is a non-profit, inter-denominational Christian school, providing a traditional,
college-preparatory education with an emphasis on basic education.
Victory Christian School admits Christian
families without regard to race, gender, or national origin.
The mission of Victory Christian School is to provide a place for training, preparation, and equipping of young people in order that they may take the ministry of Jesus to the ends of the earth, whether as a preacher, pastor, evangelist, prophet, apostle, teacher, or as a nurse, technician, educator, or businessman.
In an environment of quality academics and discipline, students will be trained to witness their faith, share Jesus' love effectively with others, and love people who are hurting.
It is also our heart to reach out to the home-schooling community by providing enrichment activities,
field trips, and classes in which home-schooled students can participate as their schedule allows.
We realize the solemn responsibility under God to carry out this vision. We look for parents and students who are in agreement with this vision; for without this agreement, our vision cannot be fulfilled.
Parental Involvement
"Fathers, do not provoke your children to anger, but bring them up in the discipline and instruction of the Lord." - Ephesians 6:4
As a support to the family unit, VCS considers the family to be of first importance to a child. The Bible indicates that the family is the most important human institution God designed and compares it to the relationship believers have with Christ and the Father. Due to the nature of our parent-partnering schedule, VCS requires a level of parental involvement that goes well beyond any traditional school. You remain a primary teacher of your child(ren). Our teachers rely on you to partner with them primarily by closely supervising the home component of our program. Your child's teacher(s) will explain the details of your role at the beginning of year parent orientation.
VCS Philosophy
Victory Christian School was established in 2009 to assist Christian parents in their God-given responsibilities
to discipline, instruct, nurture and train their children (Ephesians 6:4, Proverbs 22:6, Deuteronomy 6:7).
In order to accomplish this, Victory Christian School provides a variety of learning experiences necessary
for each student to discover his or her God-given spiritual, physical, mental, and social gifts to their fullest potential. Our goal is to give your child an excellent educational experience in a solid Christian
atmosphere designed to build a strong character. We will accomplish this by providing your child with:
- an atmosphere conducive to spiritual growth and academic achievement.
- instruction from a God-centered point of view using the finest Christian curriculum available.
- an opportunity for each child to grow spiritually and to conform to God's will.
- an opportunity to develop Christian friendships.
- teachers who love and care about each student and aid in the development of the child spiritually, academically, physically, and socially.
- teaching methods that instill the importance of God's Word and how to live according to its teachings.
As a child matures and progresses academically, he or she will develop God-given abilities that will allow them to enter the profession that God has chosen for them, thus enabling them to glorify God (Romans 12:4-8). In addition to academics, students will be taught godly principles so that great favor and abundant blessing will be available to them.
Key components of Victory Christian School's philosophy of education include:
- All truth is God's truth and the Bible is inspired, inerrant and the only infallible authoritative Word of God which contains the truth.
- Education is the prerogative and responsibility of the parents. The Christian school is in partnership with the home and church to provide support and assistance in shaping a Christ-like view of truth and reality.
- Christian education rightly focuses on what a person becomes in Christ rather than what he knows. A person's greatest need in life is redemption through Jesus Christ.
- Christian education is the integration of God's Word throughout the curriculum. It is the Holy Spirit-directed process by which students, aided by a teacher and/or their own study, receive knowledge by which they modify their attitudes and behavior to conform more and more to the purposes of God and the character of Jesus Christ.
- Victory Christian School is committed to discipling young men and women to be confident of their relationship with God and to be established through educational training to step forth and accept God’s leading in their lives.
